Memberships to S.W.A.S

So, you like what you see and want to know how to become part of our Society? 

 

To make an application to join S.W.A.S. you need to do this in person, this can be done by;


1- Visiting Hazel Grove Angling supplies. 

2- Attending an official S.W.A.S meeting at

Hazel Grove Social Club

15 Chester Rd,

Hazel Grove,

Stockport,

SK7 5NU

 on the Second Monday of each month at 20:00.

3- Contacting S.W.A.S Membership Secretary on 0161 
 

Please note, all memberships run March 1st – April 30th. There is no concession for joining midway through the year.

Payments can be made by Cash, Cheque or Bank Transfer.

By joining as a member of S.W.A.S, you are agreeing to adhere to our rules found here.

Our website hosts general information about the club, including: its lakes, Club news, Memberships, Matches, Work parties, and more, please visit https://Stockport-Waltonions.co.uk/. We operate both a public Facebook group as well as a private Facebook group which you may join and share catch report, time on the bank and general S.W.A.S news.

Terms of membership

  1. S.W.A.S is a member’s run club. The executive committee (Officers) and sub-committee is run by volunteers who have the longevity of the club at heart. Being a member’s club, we welcome member input, feedback and voluntary help on our lakes and projects. 

  2. New anglers seeking to apply for membership of S.W.A.S will require the support of two club members, if the applicant does not know two existing members then the applicant will be required to attend an interview with the committee at the earliest possible convenience. This will usually take place at one of our monthly meetings. New members are entitled to fish from the initial sign-up process.

  3. The annual membership fee and re-joining fee will be reviewed by the Committee on an annual basis. All membership fees shall be decided at the AGM.

  4. All angling members of S.W.A.S must hold a valid rod licence.

Junior Under 14 - Free

Non fishing spouse/partner £5 (Non angling membership – any person who is a spouse, partner or parent/guardian of an angling member)​
