Whether you are an experienced angler, returning to the sport or completely new to fishing, Stockport Waltonians Angling Society offers friendly membership, well-maintained waters and a welcoming local angling community.

How to Join

Applications for membership must currently be completed in person using one of the following methods:

Membership Information

• Memberships run annually from 1st March to 30th April.

• There are currently no reduced rates for joining part-way through the membership year.

• Payments can be made via:

Cheque
Bank Transfer

• All angling members must hold a valid Environment Agency rod licence.

Membership Terms

Stockport Waltonians is a member-run society supported entirely by volunteers who care passionately about the future of the club and its waters.

We actively encourage members to:

support club activities
attend meetings
participate in working parties
contribute ideas and feedback

New applicants are normally supported by two existing members. Applicants who do not know existing members may be invited to meet with the committee at one of the monthly meetings before approval.

Successful applicants are entitled to begin fishing immediately following the sign-up process.

Annual membership and renewal fees are reviewed by the committee each year and formally agreed at the Annual General Meeting.

By joining Stockport Waltonians Angling Society, members agree to follow the club rules and help maintain the standards, fish welfare and friendly atmosphere of the society.
